About

Alexia joined Tang Law upon obtaining her combined Bachelor degrees, with a niche career focus in international policy and migration. On 18 December 2021, she was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of WA and has been exclusively practising as a migration lawyer.

Alexia has experience in preparing and lodging a range of visa applications—skilled, family, refugee and humanitarian—in addition to Australian citizenship applications. Her area of interest involves assisting clients with complex issues, ranging from proving identity and character, Protection claims, and genuine business needs to nominate a skilled worker, to family violence provisions, appeals at the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), and Ministerial Intervention requests.

Her recent successes include:

  • A positive ART case and subsequent Subclass 866 Protection visa grant for an applicant from the Democratic Republic of Congo
  • A positive ART case involving a Partner visa application with a 12-month de facto waiver
  • A Ministerial Intervention outcome resulting in a Subclass 851 visa grant
  • A Permanent Partner visa grant under the family violence special provisions
  • WA DAMA Endorsement, Subclass 190, and Subclass 482 applications for various occupations, ranging from Welders and Chefs to Veterinarians.

Alexia aims to deliver a cost-effective and practical approach tailored to each individual client.

Outside of her legal work, Alexia enjoys overseas travel, French language classes and pottery.
